Looks like someone at Sprint let the cat out of the bag a bit too early. Engadget’s reporting that ads for Google and Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus smartphone were accidentally displayed on CNET’s website for a while before quickly being yanked.
Interestingly enough, this Galaxy Nexus handset will be the second Galaxy Nexus variant to have LTE. Even more interesting is that it’ll apparently be slightly more powerful than the other Galaxy Nexus devices, including Verizon’s 4G LTE variant. Clocking in at 1.5 GHz, the dual-core processor in Sprint’s version should make the Android 4.0 experience even smoother.
There’s likely no better way to launch a LTE network than with a powerhouse like the Galaxy Nexus, and with an even more powerful variant, I’m sure Sprint will have plenty of attention whenever this phone becomes officially announced.
