Earlier today Sony Ericsson posted a teaser image of what appears to be a new flagship phone on their Facebook page. The close-ups of the phone resemble many of the design cues of the Arc and Arc S, and also place an emphasis on the camera. The Arc already boasted an impressive camera with Sony’s Exmor R sensor which took above average photos, especially in low light conditions. It will be interesting to see if this is simply another spec bumped Arc, or if it is a completely revamped handset.
When the Arc launched last year, it really was behind the times in terms of specs, and this was even more apparent with the Arc S. The arc S launched with a 1.4ghz Snapdragon processor, and 512mb of ram in a time where dual core phones were beginning to become the standard for high end phones. It will be interesting to see if Sony will finally launch a phone with both their trademark sleek design, but also with top of the line specifications.
CES is just around the corner, so all will be revealed soon.
